This building was the first new branch designed for Riverside Bank. It is located on Chastain Road and will house their mortgage offices as well as service their customers from the northwest Cobb area. The design objective was to create an image for the bank which was tailored to the area yet related to the main branch in East Cobb. This was done by using a similar palette of materials and elements in a more contemporary form. The warm, inviting interior was developed using stained MDF paneling, combinations of clear and frosted glass, and a curved ceiling in the banking lobby. The challenges of the site included complying with Cobb County’s new storm water standards while maximizing the amount of landscaped and natural areas.
