As part of the complete renovation of the Center for Puppetry Arts, the interior spaces were modified to create a distinctly contemporary character using elements of puppetry.  The lobby and the entrance to the theater were expanded to incorporate display space for temporary exhibits as an adjunct to the permanent puppetry museum.  The interventions within the existing theaters offer a striking contrast to the circa 1930 Spring Street Elementary School and provide a strong sense of identity of the unique art form - the puppet.
