This adaptive reuse and historic preservation project converted an 1893 mortuary and adjacent home of a funeral director into residential condominiums serving the student housing needs of the nearby College of Charleston campus.  Located in the center of the Charleston Historic District, the project was subject to local preservation guidelines as well as those of the South Carolina Historical Commission and the United States Department of the Interior.
